Guest guest
I realize now that I did not point out that our daughter has already received her high school diploma. (We didn't even know her high school had a transition coordinator until she was out of school. They very effectively kept us in the dark.) So we have been paying out of pocket for the PACE Program. She had had a file with DRS, but they closed it when we said she would be attending PACE. The high school did pay for Parents Alliance to work with her to get a job, but 9 months of that and still no job! She graduated with a B average in mainstreamed classes. We'd like to see her living with minimal supervision, employed at a library. (She has interned at two public libraries through PACE.) How can we entice a public library to hire her when there are so many friendly, outgoing college students around, vying for the same jobs? AND, we're just not sure where to go to get " adult " services....
