Guest guest
Hi All, An updated guide " Handout Listing CLL Info Sources.doc " (Tim Klug's Listing of CLL Info Sources) is available online in the files. Group members with a ID may log-in via this link: /files/ and click on the name of the file to read, download or print it. For those who do not have a ID, contact me and I'll forward a copy to you directly. The update primarily emphasizes Venkat's new article of Oct 25 on CLL Topics Updates. highlights important aspects of the " Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia . . . from the International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia " , published in 2008. These guidelines are one of the two best medical guidance sources for oncologists/hematologists dealing with CLL (The other is the NCCN guidelines). The information is technical, but comprehensive and well-organized. With some effort, a patient can learn the material, thus benefiting from definitive knowledge as you participate in decisions on your care. The " . . .Guidelines. . . " would make an excellent gift for your oncologist/hematologist. provides a very useful discussion of this report, and her Editorial at article’s end is full of good advice. Regards, Tim Klug
