Does anyone know of any good websites where I can find pictures of the sort of 'compund' exercises of which they speak? I already do squats but I'd like to vary my routine a bit... Guest guest
A square inch of muscle weighs more than a square inch of fat. So, it's not an inaccurate description to say that muscle weighs more than fat. Expressing it that way does seem to drive quite a few people crazy though. :-) Here's a nifty picture showing the difference: http://skwigg.tripod.com/fat_and_muscle.jpg Re: Re: transformation okay, i get so frustrated when i see pros tell people that muscle weighs more than fat. a pound of muscle and a pound of fat both weigh the same thing- one pound! muscle is denser matter and more compact, leaner, sleeker, all of that, but a pound of muscle is not physically heavier than a pound of fat. i think people just have a hard time wrapping their mind around the idea that you can lose a pound of one thing and gain two pounds of another during the same time period and look different. i dunno. am i wrong? -cera
Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am a newbie to Macro. I was just diagnosed with a haital hernia. Can anyone recommend some gentle macro food items that would be good for my tummy? Thank you! Debbie "It's the cracked ones who let light into the world." Guest guest
Dear and other members I'm faced with the transformation into Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Final decision of treatment is to be made on Monday afternoon New Zealand time. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Dear MaxatMapua, The recommendation by trained physicans will be based on the diagnosis, but also your prior treatments, age, performance, ... it truly requires first- hand information. If possible, seek an expert second opinion as well. I would also inquire if there are any appropriate trials to consider .... depending on the expected success from standard approaches. Wishing you all the best, Karl > I'm faced with the transformation into Acute Lymphoblastic > Lymphoma.
Guest guest
Dear MaxatMapua, Sorry to hear of your recent news. ALL comes in different flavors as does CLL, however most acute leukemia needs acute therapy. The whole gestalt is so different than CLL. I have no expertise in ALL so I echo others that have told you to get an expert opinion ASAP. My bet is that an urgent transplant is a possible way out this double trouble, but this needs experienced expertise to make the decisions. The good news is that the cure for one is often the cure for both. Push hard for fast answers and expert help Stay strong.
