This pilot analysis in the British Journal of Haematology

quote

(i) FluCam was highly effective in elderly TP53- CLL

patients

(ii) FluCam efficacy in first-line therapy was superior than

in subsequent lines for relapsed/refractory CLL

(iii) FluCam regimen toxicity was very mild in first-line.

end quote

The researchers felt that this study underscores the high

efficacy and rare toxicity of FluCam in elderly patients

with TP53- CLL, and suggests the setting where Alemtuzumab-

based regimens might be more effective, provided that an

accurate molecular stratification according to TP53 status

is performed prior to any treatment decision.
