Guest guest
Marilyn, I had 4 treatments of FCR last year and have been on 400 mg of acyclovir 3 x day and Bactrim (Sulfatrim) M W F, not sure how many mg. I asked my DFCI specialist how long I'll be on these (currently 1 year) and she told me maybe indefinitely but possibly when my CD4 count improves. Guest guest
Marilyn, I too am taking acyclovir 400 mg twice a day and Bactrim 800mg twice a day on Wed and Sun. I also contracted pneumonia. We caught it early enough so I didn't have to be put in hospital. I was given Levoquan for 7 days and it cleared it up. That was after my first tx with Rituxin, Penostatin and Cytoxin. I just did my 4th tx yesterday and have had no other reactions so far. Thank you for sharing.
