Guest guest
Yes I'm sure. The oncologist measures my spleen every visit. I wonder if it was a world record spleen! It has been 3 weeks since my first round of BR treatment, and the response has been beyond my best hopes. My spleen shrank in size by 80%. Almost all of my lymph nodes, which were previously 2 - 5 cm, are now undetectible. WBC from 500,000 to 8.2 Platelets started at 118, went down as far as 65, and are now 111. Anemia is improving with Hg at 9.4, up from 7.2. I lost 22 pounds in two days, mostly the spleen, fluid in the abdomen, and edema in the legs and ankles. Round two of treatment is on Monday/Tuesday. Guest guest
Ron, What reaction to the BR routine? I had 1 treatment with just Bendamustine and get Rituxan added the first of Nov. In a week the WBC went from 117K to 107K which doesn't seem like much. I've been worried about my weight loss. Maybe my enlarged spleen is shrinking also.
