Complications of CLL or just bad luck.?

Hi All,

I was dx in January 2011 with CLL, although blood test

indicated I have had it for around 5 years. I am now in

stage one, still in wait and watch. Has anyone here been dx

with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (know as (SIBO)

or suffer with stomach bloating, gas. pain and symptoms of

IBS? I am so frustrated. I am on my second round of an

antibiotics named Xifaxon (hope I spelled it right) It

works only in the GI tract to kill the " bad bacteria " in my

intestines. Probiotics are suppose to help replace it with

" good bacteria " . My stomach aches have been going on for

over 2 months, with just brief respites.

I associate the gas/bloating etc. with the CLL and because

of the discomfort, it is always on my mind. PLEASE, I really

could use a kind word or better yet an ally in the mess I

find myself in. I found one article in the World Journal Of

Gastroenterology that says there is a link between SIBO and

CLL. I also suffer from heat related hives at night. Both my

gastroenterologist and my onocologist do not think there is

a relationship to the CLL, stomach pain and hives. I should

add had many tests for the stomach pain/gas.. Ultra sound,

colonoscopy etc. No problems found. Checked out my ovaries,

spleen etc. Please respond. I would appreciate it.
