Guest guest
In 2005 a few months before CLL diagnosis, a bump emerged on the top edge of my right ear. It is painless and does not show unusual coloring. The bump appears to contain fluid, and does not interrupt the skin that lays over it. Over the last 6 years the bump has grown or subsided, reaching 5mm across the base and a height of 7 mm sometimes. At other times, it has all but disappeared - for instance, just after FCR in 2009. Someone asked Dr. Keating about ear bumps during a CLL patient forum at a conference he attended. He indicated (I think -- was several years ago) that he has seen them, they are benign, and seem to be associated with CLL in some patients. Has anyone had such bumps? Is there information available about them? My thorough search of medical literature and index sites did not reveal any info. Thanks.
