Guest guest
Watching this may help you or someone you know. While this concerns breast cancer primarily it also shows quite clearly the process a new diagnostic technique must go through before proving to be better than on that already exists; something anyone with ANY cancer struggles with. Also interesting is how collaboration between concerned doctors and those in separate fields of medicine and science MUST work together to provide ultimately better, safer and more effective treatments and diagnostics for all patients. http://www.ted.com/talks/deborah_rhodes.html we all know that CLL places us at far higher risk of secondary cancers, and for women, one of those is breast cancer. Dense breasts increase our risk, aside from CLL, by many fold. To date, Conn. is the only state in the US that mandates informing patients of their breast density. Is this because mammography is almost useless in such cases? watch this Mayo doctors talk and answer for yourself. all the best, Beth Fillman
