But it is a vital hormone and you should be taking it past the 8 weeks your Doctor has prescribed, perhaps at a lower dose, most Docs tend to claim 2000 IU a day is good, check with yours. There are literally thousands of pages on the need for vitamin D especially for people with chronic illnesses.
