Low RBC, HGB & Platelets

I've now been through two cycles of Chemo (FCR), and

additional progress is delayed due to low RBC, HGB and

Platelets, not to mention very low WBC, which has been

treated with a series of daily Neupogen injections. I've

now had several concentrated blood and platelet transfusions.

Supposedly, after 4 weeks, the Chemo chemicals are now out

of my system, but I don't understand why my HGB & Platelets

keep on decreasing. I realize it has to do with the bone

marrow, but if anyone can provide a layman's answer, I'd

sure appreciate it.
