Guest guest
Hello, I am new here and wanted your opinions on watch and wait. First a little history. I was diagnosed with melanoma in 2009 (early stage 1). Had a wide excision and negative sentinel node. Everything has gone well until I had a carotid ultrasound and they discovered an enlarged lymph node in my left neck (measures 1.6cm). They did a CBC and all was within range except the lymphocytes were 4,900, WBC 9. The doctor said there isn't any reason to do a biopsy and they will recheck the CBC in a few months. Is this an acceptable approach or should I pursue a lymph node biopsy? Thanks, Tracey
