Guest guest
Hello I am new to the group but have some questions. I have had CLL (stage 0-1) for 6 years and have been on " watch and wait " for which I am thankful. Recently I have had an outbreak of multiple skin cancers (BCC abd SCC). One of the squamous cells tumors had invaded to the perineural space and I was treated with MOHS surgery and radiotherapy. Of course the skin Ca is ongoing (from my mis-spent youth) with treatment with MOHS, freezing, and 5-FU cream. Now I have developed several Thyroid nodules and cysts. I am scheduled for a Fine needle aspiration of one of solid nodules with " increased peripheral and internal vascularity. " Questions- 1) are these Ca s likely to be secondary to the CLL? 2) Is so, is the usual Thyroid CA treatment- Surgery and radio-iodine likely to have any consequences for the CLL? 3) Am I getting beyond the watch and wait stage? Thank you O
