Rituximab - adverse reaction

I had three infusions with Rituximab without any noticeable

reactions except I felt that my palms were becoming thick

and coarse. The Doc then added three chemos to the forth

infusion followed by 5 days of prednisone at 80 mg./day.

About 10 days later I reacted with swollen hands, swollen

fingers, red, raw arms. My skin started to peel. This was

sort of controlled with a Pred Pack/6-5-4-3-2-1. The fifth

treatment also had the 3 chemos again followed by 5 days of

pred at 80 mg/day. Within a week I blew up (arms and

fingers), raw red arms and legs. I am now on Pred 4 days at

30 mg/3 days at 20 mg/ 3 days at 15 etc. It seems to

alleviate the red/raw. Has anyone else suffered similar? My

Doc said it was a rare reaction to the Ritux. What was your

outcome? My platelets range between 20 - 50 so I need

further treatment.

Thx

What were the other three chemos? It's hard to know whether

others might have had a reaction like yours without knowing

all of the things in the mix.
