Guest guest
Hi Brett, We have been dealing with the CLL for 15 years. 1st 7 years was W & W. Registered with MDA transplant unit. They only found 1 9/10 match and 2 5/6. cord blood match. With both CLL and MDS and age 66, there is a 30-40% mortality rate 1st couple of years adfter transplant. We talked ab out and my wife will only chose SCT as last resort. That's why I went out and found the Estybon trial on my own. I wish you and your wife well, Hal Re: Clinical trial of Estrybon Hal, I noted your wife's deletions which are similar to my wife's 11 & 17 (5,8, 19, 20, 21, 23 etc.) and Zap as well. My wife also has a difficult case complicated by CNS Lupus. She was Dx in Oct. '10. Still on W & W, although she already had a major sinus infection, and was hospitalized for a week with pneumonia and a blood infection. Has your Onc discussed a transplant? That seems to be a consideration with my wife due to the 17p deletion. Still trying to get my bearings. Brett
