Guest guest
hello mohammed >and was feeling the best i had ever, absolutely invincible and just as it started, i began to spiral downwards. Mine i believe was a culmination of teenage use of corticosteroid sprays, soya, saw palmetto and use of prednisone for a chest infection. gosh i envy you, i've never felt absolutely invincible!!! i'm just wondering why you took saw palmetto at such a young age, were you showing signs of baldness? early baldness can be a sign of low testosterone i think? i dont know, but i wouldn't have thought the saw palmetto would be harmful as it's high in fatty acids/phytosterols? wish you well. trish > > > > Its sad that this has happened at 20 and i too started falling ill at around that age. Guest guest
Hi Trish thanks for your message i am not sure why the dr changed his mind over the referral, it came as quite a surprise. Sheila was very helpful with the letter, Mo helped me with it too, both were a big help -it's good to get another opinion on such things. > > >I suspect strongly that I have a pituitary issue. > > how would pituitary function be tested? > > trish not sure, but think they look at levels of the pituitary hormones, eg, lh, fsh, tsh etc. my tsh was borderline low recently, about 0.6, yet my t4 was 14, range 12-22, the lab seemed to think this was strange so they ran a t3 test on it, which was mid range. i've not known an nhs lab do t3 test like that before chris
