Hi Steph,

So why isn't your husband having a trial of thyroid hormones? If I was him I

know what I would do.... I would trial them amd then report back to the doc if

I felt better......

It the endo really a thyroid specialist or is he a pathalogical liar? You can

check out his specialism by putting his name in www.drfosterhealth.co.uk or

..com can't remember which..... and then clicking on his name when it comes up

will show the specialisms....

Hi

Well guess what? No thyroid specialists come up for our hospital, only name I

recognise is down as a diabetes specialist.

I did try hubbie with thyroxine a while ago and he felt no better but to be fair

his iron was so low it probably would have done nothing for him.

I did think I might try him again he has been taking NAX for a short time.

What iron supplement is he taking Stephie and has his iron level

been tested since starting it?

Hi Sheila

He has been tested for his iron and last March his Ferritin was

19 range 22-322

and now 176 range 22-322

they told him he was top of the range and could not have any more for six

months. He was on an iron infusion put in through a canula straight into the

blood stream once a month for six months.
