Guest guest
What are the ingredients of the T3 on the tub Kathleen. Can you list them all please. Luv - Sheila HI ALL Having browsed the Internet today I have found that all VITAMIN D3 is of animal origin but D2 is vegetarian origin. Having purchased 4 tubs of VITAMIN D3 said to be suitable for vegetarians this is clearly not the case, and could be why I have had problems with VIT D3.However I have emailed a company about their D2 to find out what plant it comes from, as DAISIES are also out. Guest guest
HI SHEILA These are the ingrediants on the VIT D3-----EXylitol,Natural Blackcurrantflavour,Silica Vegetable Magnesium stearate,Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferrol,Acacia gum, Cor starch, Soybean oil, DL-Alpha Tocopheral. This one is by BIOLIFE. I was also taking BIOLIFE MULTIVITAMIN AND MINERAL. The VIT D3 also appears to be from SOYA. I was also having SOYA YOGHURTS and I did question with my former GP over having SOYA products and suitability for ones thyroid. I was advised to take SOYA as a source of protein as a result of not being able to eat meat or fish proteins. Before I was ever on thyroxine I had problems with food then, in the end resorting to living off complan, and I did feel better and no upset stomach's at all in the year I stayed with this, but my weight did go up. Years later then on thyroxine plus many other drugs I tried this again, but this bound me up solid, and no joke when one is working, so at this time it was no good. I have now been without thyroxine for 4 days, and I do not think the tramlines in my neck look as prominent. Can you throw any light on this, as to whether it is good that they are prominent or worse. I notice Sheila that you have mentioned T3 but I am mentioning vitamin D3 Kathleen > > What are the ingredients of the T3 on the tub Kathleen. Guest guest
HI STEVE' All it states the D3 as is CHOLECALCIFEROL. It does not state the origins of D3. It states it as suitable for vegetarians. Its made by BIOLIFE. I am going to try and email some firms that state the suitability of D3 for vegetarians to see if they actually know what the D3 is derived from. Looking into the differences beteen D3 AND D2 is that D3 is of animal origin and D2 is of vegetable origin. I am going to research into this more. For those that are hypersensitive or allegic to some ingrediants it could make all the difference as to the ingrediants. Guest guest
HI STEVE Here is a link to an article about D3 AND D2, and it does appear that D3 is of animal origin, in fact from the skin of animals and D2 from yeast, so perhaps there are drawbacks to both. http://www.vitamins-supplements.org/vitamin-D.php > > Lots of people advertise veggie D3, what ingredient is of animal origin please >
Guest guest
wikipedia and the world in general says that it is usually derived from wool (they scrape the lanolin off the wool then process it). So it's sort of veggie but definitely not untouched by animals. I'm asking around to see if there is a genuine synthetic or plant version available, no joy so far Steve > > > > Lots of people advertise veggie D3, what ingredient is of animal origin please > > >
