Guest guest
Hi, I have Goldsheild Levothyroxine In the what they are used for section is says: Levothyroxine contains levothyroxine sodium which is a synthetic form of the hormone thyroxine. Thyroxine is normally in he body produced by the thyroid gland in the neck. It controls many bodily functions, mainly to do with growth and energy. Levothyroxine is used to treat an under active thyroid which is not producing enough thyroxine. In the warnings / tell your Dr. section it says: Do not take Levothyroxine tablets if: 1) You are allergic to levothyroxine sodium or any of the other ingredients of Levothyroxine ( see section 6 of this leaflet ) 2) You have been told that your thyroid is overactive Please tell you Dr. if any of the above applies to you Take special care with Levothyroxine tablets if you: Suffer from Diabeties. The dosage of your diabetic medication may need to be altered Suffer from high blood pressure, hearth failure or heart attack Suffer from any condition which effects your adrenal glands ( your Dr. will be able to advise you ) Are Elderly Have a long standing history of lo thyroxine levels

Guest guest
Hi Sheila In my search I came across another generic called Almus. I am not sure if this is the same as Actavis. It seems that the forums are also confused. I cannot find a PIL online but from the forum talk, the PIL is the same as Actavis.
