Guest guest
Hi there, I had this awful sweating - clammy - (I know what you mean by slimy) it is awful and it was when I was on too much thyroid hormone (or indeed it wasn't being processed correctly. If something is giving you a headache then in my opinion it isn't doing you any good (Siberian G etc.) You are taking NAX at T time - surely that isn't advisable - as it is too late - it says on the bottle to take no later than 1.00 p.m. Are you taking any vitamin and mineral supplements to help with conversion. Best wishes Mandy
Guest guest
what about your liver stephanie ...headaches can often be due to a slightly struggling liver....have you ever tried something like milk thistle complex? there is a very good quality tincture made by a. vogel (i am not suggesting this particular supplier necessarily, but it gives good info about milk thistle): http://www.health4youonline.com/health_supplements_bioforce_milk_thistle.htm best wishes trish > > Hi Sheila and All > Saw the lovely Dr P last week and he says my adrenals are still not good even tho been on NAX since late 2008. I am trying to take a bit more as he wants,I am on two morning and two at lunch. > > Seems like headaches kick in as soon as I try. Tried taking half a tab at T time and that seems to be ok but sleep only slightly improved. > My last results are wierd, never had TSH like this. > > TSH 5.5 range 0.55-4.78 > Free T4 11 range 9-23 > Free T3 4.7 range 3.5- 6.5 > > I am on 50 mcg T4 split between morning and evening and 5mcg of T3 twice a day. Did not take any thyroid stuff on the morning of blood test tho. > > Tried to take Siberian Ginseng/Liquorice drops again ( Dr P advised)but you guessed it Headaches. > The somnolin only improves my sleep slightly and I feel worn out next day?? > Now I am wheat free he wants me to look at any other foods not suiting me as well. > Any feed back welcome please he says the slimy sweating at night plus palpitations is cos I am not processing the thyroid meds. > Luv Stephie >
Guest guest
Hi Mandy You are right it should not be taken after one as a rule but Dr P asked me to try taking some around T time once before so I thought that spreading it out might be more succesfull than in one big dose. Only problem is I have had tingling left hand to-day fingers mostly, might be too much vitamin B?? I am taking a different make of co-Q10 60mcg which is the only other change to meds I have done. Yes I do take vitamin C, serenity cream, magnesium and calcium, starflower oil. Tried vitamin D drops, vitamin B nuggets, also kelp, all caused headaches. Ouch!! Do not seem to be able to absorb much. Guest guest
> > Hi Trish My liver is struggling, the tests are coming back very high however Dr P says its because my thyroid meds are adrift,he is not keen on my having the needle biopsy as he says they will only say to take the milk thistle anyway. As long as the test remains below 100 they will not do the test so hopefully it will not come to it. I might ask Dr P if I should take the milkthistle anyway. Thanks for the link.
