Guest guest
Hi Lizzie, I changed over to T3 only last November & I'm currently at at 60mg split into four doses. I'm hoping to up my dose a little when I see my endo later this month.I have been on NA four about four/five years now, I've always taken six a day but I feel that now I'm getting near to the right dose of T3 intake, my adrenals are not so hammered and my need for the adrenal support is, thank goodness, diminishing. So I too am thinking of slowly cutting back. If I know or predict the chance of me having something stressful or emotional happening during the day, I take an Isocort beforehand and this seems to really help. For example, I had to go and have some dental treatment...so I took one after breakfast. But this is just me and may not suit or be 'right' for everyone. The only thing I will say about the T3, is that I have found that food really does effect the absorption and that uptake also seems to be effected by hormonal changes. If I take a 1000mg of vit c with my T3, it seems to 'supercharge' its effect. So maybe your food or say a fruit juice is effecting yours?....just an idea. Your symptoms sound like a bit too much T3 to me. If you know what your 'low' adrenal feeling is, maybe you could do a little self-experiment and try a week with a lowered NAX dose and keep a record of your feeling. If your temps are steady (even if a bit high or low), your adrenals are probably ok. If they're up and down then you probably need to continue with you present dose. good energy to you, julia
Guest guest
hi Nice to hear from you, you sound as though you are slowly getting there. I have decided to drop down to just 1 NAE per day and monitor how I feel, I may be on too much, but unfortunately still have some symptoms including painful knees and constipation. I am thinking I may go back onto the Erfa, I am in a difficult position as my endo has prescribed Erfa for me and is not aware that I have been trialling T3 only, I can't imagine what he would say if he found out I have taken it on myself to buy my own T3 and stop the Erfa. Deep down I would prefer to be on Erfa as I know it has everything my body requires unlike the T3 and of course it is free and I am being monitored. I am thinking that I may need erfa and some T3 added but am taking it slowly at the moment. Kind regards Lizzie my adrenals are not so hammered and my need for the adrenal support is, thank goodness, diminishing. So I too am thinking of slowly cutting back. ok one
