sometimes drugs have opposite effects in people which they are intended to, eg,

i've heard of coffee putting some people to sleep, and valium etc acting as

stimulants

Hi Stephie, you may be feeling a reaction to stopping the Wheat- with some intolerances you feel worse before you feel better. you may like to consider a small dose of melatonin to reset you sleep pattern. > thyroid treatment > From: stephanie.trolle@...> Date: Mon, 7 Feb 2011 13:55:27 +0000> Subject: Somnolin Keeping me awake!> > hi All> > Dr P advised Somnolin for my lousy sleep patterns, I have tried one tablet the first night and two last night and have been awake nearly every hour!!!> > Any advice please? > > Why should this be working with an opposite affect.> Could it be to do with me giving up wheat as I am actualy feeling worse since I changed my diet.( Apart from not having the swelling body thats much better)> Luv Stephie > > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Hi

I realise now I had a bad weekend because I tried to take a crumb or two more of

T3. My temps were better at the weekend but the pain in my head was so severe I

thought the top of it would crack open. It has happened before so I should have

realised.

Luckily had a phone appointment booked in with Dr P this morning and he reckons

it's the T3 and its not surprising realy as I have been trying to take it and up

the teeny tiny dose since late 2008 to no avail.

I am keeping up the wheat free though as I am so much happier not having the

swelling belly. I bought some Migraleve and the headache is finaly going this

afternoon. I have managed to get five hours sleep on the last two nights so

thats a relief.

Luv Stephie
