Guest guest
OK, I have no shame & have posted up my blood test results to see if someone might be able see anything that might be helpful. They don't mean much to me at this stage?! I've been on 75 micrograms of Levothyroxine since June 2010 & not doing well on it, at all. The doctor told me that the 'normal' TSH range at the lab is 0.27 - 4.2. (Funny, I thought it was 0.3 to 3.0!). Any insights welcome! 16/09//2010 -Serum TSH level = 0.06mu/ L Low 16/09/2010 - Serum free T4 level = 20.9 pmol/L 28/09/2010 - Eosinophill count = 0.18 10*9/L 28/09/2010 - Haemoglobin estimation = 12.2 g/dl 28/09/2010 - Mean corpusc. haemoglobin (MCH) = 29.7 pg 28/09/2010 - Mean corpusc. Guest guest
HI Kerry, Well your B12 is low, it needs to be 7 or 800.... you would be treated in some countries but not in the uk until it drops to 200.... Suggest you get some sub lingual B12.... solgar do a version. Ferritin is very low.... it may be within range but it's not optimal.... you need iron suppliments to get that ferritin up to over 70.... Dont take iron within 4 hours of taking thyroid meds though. The tsh will be low because you are on meds and the doctor is being silly taking this into account... have a look in our files for the press release by the society for endocrinology last year.... and make sure your doctor has read it.... thyroid treatment/files/THYROID%20REFE\ RENCES/ Of course, you have no idea if you can convert the t4 to t3 as there are no test results for t3.... Worth getting a test to find your free t3 level. If the doc won't do it then it's £17 from lab 21. I'm Sure there is more but these jumped out straight away..... x > > OK, I have no shame & have posted up my blood test results to see if someone might be able see anything that might be helpful.
