Guest guest
a, do you have any blood labs you can show us? with reference ranges? I'd bring the Vitamin C up to 3000-5000 a day and I'd also bring up the D3...if you're low in Vitamin D3 (and most of us are) I'd take 3000-5000 iu a day. I would also suggest a probiotic everyday. There are many to choose from but if you have absorption troubles and/or stomach upset, they generally work wonders. I take these because they do not need to be refrigerated and they easily slip down. Kefir, yogurt.... any probiotic will help. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQ8ATQ/ref=oss_product How much B12 are you taking 500 mcg or 1000 mcg? It's easy to take your Vitamin C and your iron both together just before you go to sleep. The Vc helps the iron to absorb. Guest guest
Hi Jot and a -I was told to take B12 with Folate -I can't remember the reason -perhaps somebody else has remembers why?
Guest guest
hi mary aparently a high folate figure may conceal a b12 deficiency ...i think it is the same with all the b vits that if you supplement too much with one, then it puts the others out of balance, they like to work together. in the same way, if you supplement high(ish) doses of zinc (over a period of time) then that can put the copper balance out. here's a couple of links that give good information. http://www.a-nutritional-supplements.com/j-vitamin-deficiency.htm http://www.a-nutritional-supplements.com/j-mineral-deficiency.htm best wishes trish ps i believe it is better to supplement with the active form of folate (folinic acid) rather than folic acid which has to be converted to a body useable form. > > Hi Jot and a -I was told to take B12 with Folate -I can't remember the reason -perhaps somebody else has remembers why? >
