Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Most advice is to take T4 first thing in the morning- no food or milk for an hour after, but there was a small study a few years ago that came to the conclusion that most folk felt best taking it at night instead- even sleeping better and waking clearer. All you can do is try it and see how you get on. > thyroid treatment > From: debbieharrison177@...> Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2011 20:00:57 +0000> Subject: Best time to take levothyroxine?> > I am reding conflicting best times to take Levothyroxine Anyone any thoughts> Thank you Luv Debbie> > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
Hi,I have just (this wednesday) started taking my levothyroxine (100mcg) at night to see if this changes how I feel. I find it hard to leave time between taking levothyroxine and having food when I take it in the morning. My own little experiment but I will let group know how I get on. Guest guest
A couple of studies have shown that taking levothyroxine at night when you go to bed helps with a good nights sleep and patients have reported they feel better during the day. Give it a go and decide what time to take it is best for you Debbie.
