Guest guest
Hello - this is brilliant news and you will now feel so much better knowing that your thyroid health is in the hands of a doctor who actually cares about his patients and who will do what he can to help you regain your optimal health once more. Yes, Dr Skinner does have a wicked sense of humour, but you need to understand it, as some people don't see his particular sense of humour the way he does. I was wondering whether you had ever considered a trial of T3 ONLY, without the thyroxine. Your body needs T3 and not T4. I would be writing to the Head of the particular laboratory in question asking them to put in writing their reasons for refusing to test your levels of ferritin, particularly as there is a history of haemochromatosis in the family. They are NOT your doctor and know nothing of your medical history and as such, have no right to decide whether or not you are in need of such testing. Luv - Sheila While it was very nice to talk to someone who actually listens, he couldn't explain why my FT3 (4.4, ref 3.1-6.8) and FT4 (10, ref 12-22) are low despite a relatively high dose of NDT (5 grains, Thiroyd from Thailand). I think he was suspecting that the NDT from Thailand wasn't the greatest. He gave me the choice to trial Armour instead or go with the synthetic T3+T4. As I already have T4+T3 lying around at home anyway (just never used it in combination), I said I will give that a try, which he agreed was the sensible option. He told me to go on 400 mcg T4 and 20 mcg T3 for 3 weeks, then have another blood test. I am not sure if his plan will work, but to be fair, it can't get much worse to what it is at the moment, so I'll give it a bash... ,_._,___
Guest guest
Hi there , the reason that the the thyroid has not worked very well could be that you have some other problem that is stopping it working properly. this medicine has all the hormones your thyroid needs so is may be the fillers. if you have food allergy's then you may be more susceptibleto fillers.
