Do you think it's the body uses what's available then crashes when it runs out? Or are symptoms constant? Guest guest
Hi Yes, symptoms can wax and wane. There are several conditions associated with the symptoms of hypothyroidism that must be looked at if you feel the treatment you are on isn't working as it should - see attached. You have to go through each one to absolutely ensure it isn't that one, and if it is, you need to do whatever is necessary to get things functioning properly again. Hope this helps. ME is a diagnosis (some of us call it a 'dustbin' diagnosis) that has been given to those suffering the symptoms of hypothyroidism and who have normal thyroid function tests, or who still complain of symptoms when being treated with levothyroxine. They also give such people a diagnosis of CFS and fibromyalgia - but it has been found that these are the people who do better when taking some form of the active thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3).
