RE: Speech/Workshop Bio-identical Hormone Therapy for women and Men

What is BIO IDENTICAL HORMONE THERAPY, is it a treatment for thyroid instead of

say thyroxine.

I do not know if I will be well enough to go, as apart from all the other pain,

my neck feels like it has bits of bone sticking in everywhere, and I hope they

sort this out before long.

Hello Sheila,I have just e-mailed Dr Mantzourani asking her for more details about the London Seminar. I would really like to attend with my husband if possible - late January or early february would be ideal. I would like to draw to your attention that Dr Theodora Mantzourani is planning to give a speech/workshop for the public on "Bio identical Hormone Therapy(BHRT)", for women in the first instance, followed by BHRT for men ,other uses of BHRT etc.

It will be held in London and time wise, she is looking at end of January/beginning of February. Attendance will be free and upon invitation.The whole purpose of this is to raise awareness of BHRT, de mystify BHRT, explain what it is and how it differs from conventional HR, talk about BHRT and breast cancer, and educate women about its benefits when it is practised safely.There will be also talk about laboratory tests and how they can maximize its safety and clinical benefit.

If you would be interested in attending, please would you email Theodora direct th_mantz@... and give her some idea of which dates are the most convenient to you to enable her to try and organize it especially. You may be able to take a friend/partner with you, in which case, please let Theodora know.

I do hope you will be able to attend, and those of you who are members of the London TPA local Group, perhaps you would contact n julianj@... to see whether you could all arrange to attend this meeting together as a group.
