Guest guest
Hi Everyone, With the recent talk about side effects that effect the eyes, I thought I'd post this abstract: http://www.liebertonline.com/doi/abs/10.1089/108076803322279426 It basically lists all of the occular side effects that have been documented with Gleevec (and there's no shortage). They include: periorbital edema, epiphora (excessive tear production), extraocular muscle palsy (paralysis of the muscles in the eye), ptosis (droopy eye lid), blepharoconjunctivitis (infection), glaucoma, papilledema (optic nerve swelling), retinal hemorrhage (sounds like what you had ), photosensitivity, abnormal vision, and increased intraocular pressure. , maybe one of these things could explain what your husband has been experiencing. You might want to print the abstract and bring it with you when you go to the ophthalmologist. Tracey
