Taking Levothyroxine at night?

I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction?.......

I'm desperate to do as much as possible to aid my health whilst I am going

through the motions of tests, awaiting appointments etc....

I used to take my Levothroxine first thing in the morning (an hour before

breakfast) but I noticed some Endo's seem to be suggesting to patients that they

should try taking it last thing at night if they feel it isn't working for them.

I also saw a file in the resources of this forum indicating the same thing...but

this file may be out of date...? Anyway, I have been taking Levothyroxine at

night since the 3rd of March (two & a half weeks now) & I think I do not feel

better yet, in fact I feel worse (but it could be other things at play such as

adrenals rather than this change).

I wonder if I should continue taking it at night (for about six weeks) or switch

back to taking it in the mornings? I can hardly sleep at the moment & wonder if

its related.....

I am also keen to start taking iron supplementation in the form of Spatone. Does

anyone know if the dosage recommended on the box (one sachet daily) would be

sufficient for me if my Ferritin levels are 27. The alternative suggestion would

be to take an elemental iron such as Ferrous Sulphate but as I understand it,

Spatone is more gentle on the tummy.

Thanks for your help, I don't know what I'd have done if I hadn't found this

forum!
