Guest guest
Hi - y our thyroid function test results are much as I would expect from somebody taking the medication you are, but it is really best not to take your thyroid medication on the morning you have your blood drawn. It might be better to increase your Liothyronine rather than thyroxine as thyroxine is a mainly INACTIVE hormone that has to convert to the active thyroid hormone T3 and you may be having problems converting it. Can you ask your GP to test your levels of ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc and get the results and post them here on the forum, together with the reference range for each of the tests done. Also, if possible, get the 24 hour salivary adrenal profile done through Genova Diagnostics to see where your cortisol and DHEA levels lie at four specific times during the day. If these results are outside of the reference range, you may need to start a course of Nutri Adrenal Extra to help boost your adrenal action. Guest guest
No, they just boost the adrenals so your thyroid meds can be properly utilised at the cellular level. They will not give your thyroid function tests a 'flawed' result. Good luck Sue. Luv - Sheila Hi All, Just a quick question, can Nax alter your tsh and t4 readings on blood tests. The gp is insisting on doing them again to see if they have got any worse but, i put myself on nax so that i didnt have a problem when he finaly desides to treat my hypothyroidism. Thanks luv Sue X
