Guest guest
Any advice please. I started t3 only about 12/13 weeks ago, i am now on 90mg a day, taking 50mg 1st thing and 40 mid afternoon. I have all the hypo symptoms still worse than ever, so tired i could sleep all day and night, i ache all over and feel very grumpy. My last 3 periods have been 4, 6, and 2 weeks late this month it was so light and lasted a day but i feel like i have pmt which i have never really suffered from before, i am nearly 48 so am aware this could be menopause related. i am saving up to have my saliva tested for adrenals as am sure this is an issue. Any help advice would be gratefully received as i feel so low Many thanks Dee x
Guest guest
Hi Dee, ask your GP to test your sex hormones to see where their levels lie. Often, for those who are hypothyroid they have oestrogen overload and they need to take progesterone to balance the two. It does sound as if you have hit the menopause. Meanwhile, please go to our FILES section and scroll down to the FOLDER 'Medical Questionnaires' and answer all the questions there. You will see there is an Adrenal, a Candida and a Magnesium Questionnaire there. Try and answer all the questions and let us know how you scored on each one. Also, go to the Adrenal Folder right at the top of the Files and open the 'Adrenal Home Testing' file and try those and see what happens. These cost nothing but just a little of your time and will probably give you the answer without having to pay for the test.
