Guest guest
Hi All, Well its in writing now further to the test results I posted endo has written to say he is fine, no evidence to say he is not converting! Daughter gets her results tomorrow from her test (dentist thought she could see a goitre)I will be amazed if results show anything. I am having to apply for my job again, me and one other lady for one role, so may well be out on my ear shortly. Had sore crushing feelings in chest last night but have been full of cold. Quite scary, happened twice but went off eventually. Getting thyroid tested in the morning again. Asked GP for reverse T3 test but he said he is not allowed to ask for it, I mentioned vitamin B injections but he said I was not low enough to get those. I am getting tired of the fight. Guest guest
Stephie, what were your B12 results and the reference range. Also, ask for your free T3 results to see what that lies in the reference range. You can get a Reverse T3 level tested through Genova Diagnostics, details in our Files section under 'Discounts on Tests and Supplements'. Guest guest
hi stephie sorry for just jumpin in when i'm aware i don't know too much about ur particular situation, but i'd say to you DON'T GIVE UP ON GETTING WELL! i'd suggest leaving the doctor alone for now, you don't seem to be getting anywhere, an that will make you feel worse. take control by using the info on this site, looking at ur nutrition, addressing issues one by one, you will have to play detective and really inform yourself so much - i've been doing this for the past year and a bit, and it has made such a difference. after numerous visits to my docs i was diagnosed eventually with chronic fatigue, and i gave up on my local docs then - i realised they wanted rid of me - and have fought and fought to get as well as i am now, and am still playing detective to some degree - i know i will get completely well and will then be well enough to fight hard - in a way that your not when you're not well, and that's the problem - we are a very vulnerable client group. stay strong, you will get well, it's not always easy when we've come to expect a pill to pop to put it all right! deb xx > > Getting thyroid tested in the morning again. Guest guest
Yes, you need to get your B12 tested again, especially as it was SO low in 2009. It should be well up towards the top of the reference range. Now I look back at my results it was October 09!!( did not realise it was so long ago) when I had the B12 tested and it was 378 range 260 to 911, so suppose it could be anything by now. Dare I get it retested? Good news is serum ferritin in August 2010 was 200 range 20-291. _,___
