Hi,

That ebay item is a general purpose thermometer.

A basal thermometer is required to take accurate temps.

You will omly be able to get a Mercury filled basal thermometer if it is old as

EU regs banned mercury in basal thermometers a few years ago.

I have seen a post from a nurse in the past stating that Geritherm are a good

make and that she compared there readouts with the ones in the hospital and they

are usually only about 0.1 out which is nothing really.

I found mine by googling Geritherm basal thermometer and choosing the cheapest.

Kind regards,

Tina.
