Guest guest
>>>>The High Street is not far away, but I do not know how far up The High Street THE BLACK HORSE is.<<<< Do you have Google Earth on your computer Kathleen. It will show you exactly where your are staying and where the Black Horse is. It is actually near the end of the High Street (furthest away from the station). Once you get used to google earth you can actually see the street view. You have to click on the cameras. Lilian
Guest guest
NO - I DON'T BELIEVE IT. When I first read your message I thought of Carlton Lodge, the nurses home where I lived for about a year. This is down a road opposite to the Hospital on Skipton Road where I first went to work before I started my SRN training at Jimmy's in Leeds. I thought they must have changed it into a guest house when I read your message, but see that you are staying at Carlton House. Oh, what memories. Carlton House is also on Skipton Road near to the hospital. Luv - Sheila HI ALL I have booked into CARLTON HOUSE for one week to see the faces of who I have been sending messages to, and to have a holiday sight seeing. They do vegetarian breakfast at this Guest House, but I have to climb two flights of stairs, but its near to the station, and there are buses, and taxis if I need them. The High Street is not far away, but I do not know how far up The High Street THE BLACK HORSE is. Guest guest
I means Keighley Road - it is called Skipton Road outside of Skipton and Keighley Road in Skipton, I always get them mixed up which is which. Whatever, it is near to the hospital where I started my first job. Don't know of any particular café's/restaurants in Skipton where you can get the food you need, but there are plenty of different one's in Skipton being a tourist market town and plenty of places they make fresh sandwiches. The landlady should be able to tell you this or look at Skipton Tourist Information for such info. Luv - Sheila HI CARLTON HOUSE is in KEIGHLEY ROAD NO 46, but I hope I manage the stairs OK (being two flights as I am not used to stairs). Perhaps you could let me know the best place for providing a plate of steamed mixed veg,but definatley not cheese, cheese and more cheese, and a good place to obtain sandwiches that are not pre-packed and filled with mayonaise (nice salad sandwiches). My weight has started going up now so will have to watch that I do not have to join you on your special diet. I should have known Sheila that you had been a nurse to take on the TPA,and painting must be a way of relaxing your adrenal glands. Kathleen > > NO - I DON'T BELIEVE IT.
