Guest guest
Hi , I got this news from my CML doctor. The doctors were the ones who had the headache of filling out the form. It is no longer required for Gleevec. I don't think that there was a press release on this. If your doctor needs the details, I will get it for you. Do you have a link to a news release or article that talks about this? > > For those patients in Ontario, Canada, you will be pleased to know that your > doctor no longer has to complete the Section 8 form in order for you to get > Gleevec. Guest guest
Hi Wayne, My current situation is straightforward. I am over 65 and it required a section 8. Prior to turning 65 my private insurance paid 80% and I was responsible for the remainder. I applied to Trillium for assistance with the remaining 20%. This required a section 8 to be filled out. Your understanding about the system is right on. I have benefited and continue to benefit from our medical system.
