Guest guest
Hi , yes, blood test results can be flawed if thyroid hormone is taken on the morning your blood is drawn. Some people have a very quick response to levothyroxine, with other people it takes a while to be properly absorbed. Professor Weetman, ex President of the British Thyroid Association and Head of all Medical Schools in the UK gave evidence at a GMC Hearing (which I attended) stating this. It is in the transcripts of Dr Skinner's Hearing when the Prof. was giving evidence, somewhere around Day 4 or Day 5 if I remember right. Here is a link to the hearing. http://www.tpa-uk.org.uk/skinner_hearing_transcripts.php I will send you the List of recommended doctors privately. Luv - Sheila I also read in another post that you said blood tests could be flawed if they were drawn on the same day meds were taken - is that the correct interpretation? I had my bloods taken less than 4 hours after taking my meds. If meds shouldn't be taken on the same day as bloods do you have a link or documentation you can point me to as further evidence to show my doctor? Lastly, are you please able to recommend any endos in Beds/Bucks/Herts area? I would be grateful for any help you can give. Thank you Sheila. x Hi Sandie - read the information here http://www.drlowe.com/jcl/comentry/breathingproblems.htm about breathing problems and symptoms of hypothyroidism. I hope this helps. Print it out and take a copy to your doctor!
