Conversion chart from T4 to NDT - and what supplements should I be taking?

Hi everyone,

Well, I don't want to wait any longer and I've just ordered some Armour (or is

it Erfa?) from the Value Pharmaceuticals site.

Can someone help me convert how much I should start taking (I'm currently taking

150 mcg Levo) and how I should step up my dosage? Should I be getting blood

tests as well? And is there a chart someone can direct me to regarding

conversion?

Lastly, does anyone have any suggestions as to supplements that I should be

taking? I've read somewhere that Selenium is a good idea.

Hi Sam,

There are instructions in the files section about taking natural thyroid.

There isn't a straight conversion really, you just start low and increase every

few weeks until you feel like you are on too much, then stop for a day, and re

start on the previous dosage... (or something like that :) ) Here's the

Selenium is pretty essential as it helps you convert the t4 into t3 so a good

supplement.

Others that get used a lot are B12, D3, copper, zinc, magnesium and Vit C ...

but don't just dose up willy nilly, check to see what you may be short of

first.
