Guest guest
Hi all Gently bumping this as I am desperate for some advice before I start the NAX in a couple of days. I am adding my results here as no one has got back about how to add to files or attachments. sample 1 17.8 (12 - 22) sample 2 9.3 (5.0 - 9.0) sample 3 6.6 (3.0 - 7.0) sample 4 4.1 (1.0 - 3.0) DHEA sample 1 am 0.84 (0.20 -0.70) sample 2 pm 0.75 DHEA Cortisol ratio 2.10 (0.6 - 3.0) > > Hi > > I have saw Dr P on Saturday and he has said that I have weak T4 to T3 conversion and T3 receptor uptake has run down. He has prescribed NAX and NTand has has told me to stop taking levothyroxine for 10 days and to start NAX on day seven. Also to supplement with vit C and CQ10. > > I also have the result from my saliva test, will try to scan to the files, it shows my cortisol and DHEA high at some point in the day. I did them on a day when I was feeling to ill to do anything so there was very little external stress. Does this mean that it is not my adrenals and that I don't need the NAX. Have searched the forum but can't find any posts about both being high. > > I am on day three without thyroxine and still feel really grotty, I am shaky and jump and shiver when anyone comes near me, and of course I am exhausted. > > I can't see anyway to attach my scans so help with that would be good. > > Thanks in advance for any help or advice. > > Maire >
Guest guest
Hi Maire have you tried contacting Dr Peatfield's office to see what they say? Dr peatfield may have different advice for you if you now have results which weren't available before? Only he can say really so i would contact his office. Guest guest
Maire, It's much easier for all of us to read your test results if you post them the way you did, if you have to open a file to see someones results, than not everyone will do that.... also attachments don't always show up, depending on the vagaries of the system. Your adrenals don't look right, there is too much cortisol at night so it won't let you sleep properly. Is it worth you contacting Dr P and confirming that you still need the NAX? I suspect you will need it as adrenals which are not right can produce too much cortisol or too little, but it may be worth checking. Stopping thyroxine for a week shouldn't make you feel that bad, your body generally stores it for 6 weeks at a time so stopping will allow the store to run down a little...... Was there anything written on the bottom of the saliva test? Any comment? > > > > Hi > > > > I have saw Dr P on Saturday and he has said that I have weak T4 to T3 conversion and T3 receptor uptake has run down.
