Guest guest
> YES LIMITED A LOT > YES LIMITED A LITTLE > NO > Could any one advise which one I should tick. Kathleen I have put myself down as limited a lot. Qn 13 very bad as my health in general. It is quite sad that I had to put 2005 as the year I last worked. It does hit home doesn't it. At the end of the day, between my ME/CFS diagnosis and persistent annual decline, to adrenal and thyroid problems. I still have a thyroid story to tell and like so many of us here it's only with adequate T3 and supplements that has been effective. Having been so ill, I was bed-ridden in winter of 2006/7, out of bed doing two ten mins tasks a day and feeling ill and dizzy then. Being pushed around in a wheelchair when going out and about. At the end of the day, without T3, we are talking about real suffering, a lot of pain, very limited and using mobility scooter. Even then there is no peace of mind you can sort all this on NHS in the long term. So bearing in mind all that has gone on the past few years and my story isn't complete, I had no problems as scoring myself as I did. In my opinion, limited a little would be if you get back in work part-time and still struggling on with everyday tasks. No doubt it all depends on your circumstances, where you are with your thyroid meds, and what you have got back to. Plus symptoms can fluctuate and is a certain activity level sustainable throughout the weeks, or just on a couple of isolated days. They are getting a vague understanding of the health of the nation, but not people's circumstances. You could assume it is to do with directing NHS resources, but they are not aware of what people are ill/limited with. It seems to be a general guide anyway. There are times in the past few years, you might have scored yourself at any of the above options (depending on when you fell ill and how it has happened). Guest guest
HI FIONA and ALL I also rang the surgery up to ask what I should put, but could not get an answer, but I put the same as you in the end even though Prednisolone has helped with my mobility it may well not be lasting. I have also put a letter in with it to cover two other questions which were difficult. Why for instance did they not simply ask you if you were retired and unfit for work, and stop at that instead of asking all those other bits on where you worked and the last time you worked etc. How could any of that have been relevent. I have also had a private FREE T3 Test done today, so hopefully I will get the results in the next two days. I have not got as far down as being pushed around in a wheelchair, but have not been able to use my mobiity scooter either, which I enjoyed, but I hope that I will soon. I also think my energy reserves went down on having to do my flat up as it was in a bad state, so this year is going to be spent in a more relaxing way. The two things I am plagued with most is that the trains should have been made to fit the platforms, and taxi cabs made to transport a wheelchair are difficult for me to get into and out of. I can get into the front seat of a car,but taxi's are not like that around here. Kathleen > > Kathleen I have put myself down as limited a lot. Qn 13 very bad as my health in general. Guest guest
Can I just say that you are not supposed to be completing the Census Forms until the date mentioned in the Census Form. The information needed is for that particular day ONLY. Who knows, your details may have changed from today to that day! Also, please discuss this on the CHAT forum. Guest guest
Again, you feel in the form on the particular day specified and you answer such questions as to how you are feeling on that particular day. You might feel differently on that day to what you are feeling today. Luv - Sheila HI ALL I have received my census form and I am stuck at question 23 which asks if my day to day activities are limited because of a health problem or disability which is expected to has lasted or is expected to last at least 12 months. My GP has clearly got rid of my pain with prednislone, but how do I know this is going to last to enable me to fill in this question. There are 3 boxes as follows-----
