It cold be your thyroid supplementation is too low, but you need

to find the reason why you are unable to 'up the dose' Stephie. Check out the

attached document to ensure not one of the associated conditions mentioned

there could be the cause. Instead of the synthetic T4 and T3, have you

considered stopping both and going down the natural route?

Luv - Sheila

As always 50 mcg T4 split dose and 15mcg T3 half in the

morning and the other quater at about three in the afternoon.

I lost about 6 pounds after going wheat free but not lost anymore.

Do you think I am as well as its going to get?

Been trying for well over a year to up thyroid meds and it just gives me bad

headaches.

Hi Sheila

Thanks for the information I will re-read it all.

I have asked Dr P about armour but he said there will be too much T4 in it for

me, part of me thinks I would love to try it, but I am probably hoping it would

be a miracle cure.

My eyes have been quite sore again and I have had a burst blood vessel in my eye

last week. I also get crashing noises in bed on a night and it wakes me up,

quite scary. Just lately a cold sore keeps re- occuring on my lip as well.

I am a right wreck but the bad sleep is the worst thing. Will speak to Dr P, I

am seeing him at Squirrel Cottage.

Hi Stephie

........I also get crashing noises in bed on a night and it wakes me up, quite

scary.....

What are the crashing noises like?

Three or four times I have had a loud noise in my head when I was drifting off

to sleep - it was like someone slamming a door in my head.

I have also had one time when a very bright light - like a camera flashing right

in front of my eyes - when I was drifting off to sleep.

The bangs and flash woke me up and I was quite worried so - as usual - I looked

on the internet and I think they are called 'sleep starts'. From what I could

understand it is due to stress.

I haven't had any 'sleep starts' for quite a while now but I can remember that I

have been very stressed - things seem to be a lot calmer since I started Cortef.

Are you taking anything for your adrenals?

Hi

Very difficut to describe the noises, just like a super loud crashing noise. I

heard an alarm recently but nothing to be heard once awake. Also heard a mans

voice shouting but again nothing once I was awake.

I have had the lights too but not as bad as yours. Odd times when awake I see a

tiny twirling area on the edge of my vision only momentarily though.

When I first lay down its like the dark is going different shades of dark?? Odd

tiny lights only occasionaly though.

I take 4 NAX for my adrenals and have just started Liquorice drops as well. Its

horrid when you have disturbed sleep isn't it. When I had sleeping tablets I

felt far more human just for getting the sleep.

Dr P has reccomended Somnolin, will have to order some. Am close to the end of a

few sleeping tablets GP let me have ages ago but at least I have had a couple of

nights sleep.

Thanks for your kind message

Luv Stephie
