Guest guest
Thyroid Free T4 RANGE 9.0-26.0 PMOI/I 12.6TSH RANGE 0.3-4.2 MU/I *9.03 Hi Kathleen, Whatever else Thyroxine may do to your body, from the above results it is pretty clear that it is not doing its job. You are still extremely hypothyroid and that may be at the very root of all your other problems .... you have a TSH of 9.03, which means that your cells are starved of thyroid hormone. Your body is not able to function like this. Your FT4 is also very low and the most important parameters, FT3 and autoantibodies TPO and TgAB, have not been checked. I would speak to or write to your endo and tell him or her that Thyroxine alone is obviously not working for you, and would they please look at alternative thyroid medication for you (perhaps natural desiccated thyroid or perhaps a combo of T4 and T3) – and demand for the FT3 and thyroid antibodies to be checked as well..... I don't know how high your TSH started off or how long you have been on this medication, but Levothyroxine-alone therapy won't cut it for you, this much is clear from the above results and I hope that your doctors will realize this. Best wishes,
Guest guest
Hi I have not been able to take thyroxine since just after xmas and the TSH before this was 5.5. I also have to go into hospital for a hysteroscophy, polpectomy, endometrial biopsy, and maybe a laparoscopy. I ask the Sister if the large ammounts of urine passed at night which is also cloudy would be a water infection, which apparently it is. These tests have not been done under an endo, but gynae. I go in on Friday.
