Guest guest
I'm not sure Steve - unless somebody else knows the answer. As I understand it, when your serum iron level and iron saturation is high, this could happen if you were taking any iron supplements when you had your blood drawn. If anybody gets their iron levels tested, they should be off supplements for at least a week, otherwise the blood could be saturated with iron. However, with serum iron and iron saturation both above the top of the reference range, you need to be careful about taking more iron I think. Do we have any experts on this please. Luv - Sheila Should I take iron again, look into iron injections or shall I see what dr p recommends? Not feeling as good as I should be so maybe it's the low iron. > > Not touched iron in 3 months > > Serum Iron = 43 (11-28) > Saturation = 74.8% (23-53) > Transferrin = 2.3 (2-3.6) > Ferritin 48 - (10-322) > > Any idea how to raise my ferritin, when all my other iron labs are coming back crazily high? I think this is why im not feeling the full affect of my T3 dose (125mg) due to my ferritin being on the low side. >
