Guest guest
What a wonderful story Dee and long may this continue. Are you taking any diuretics as I guess the swelling is retention of fluid, or is it myxoedema. When you press your fingers into the swollen ankles, does it pit, or does it just bounce back to where it was before. If taking a diuiretic, what are you taking and how much - and are you drinking plenty of water. People think drinking too much water causes oedema, it doesn't, it takes it a way. I am learning to drink loads. So wonderful that you have been responsible for teaching your GP something. Let's hope he now passes this information on to his other thyroid patients who remain suffering continuing symptoms. Luv - Sheila I am NOW GETTING EXCITED!! This has been a long road for me, 7 years of hell to be exact.
