Guest guest
Hi , it's best to leave just a little of the message you are responding to so others pick up on the gist as we can't remember what everybody has said previously. One grain (60mgs) Armour needs to be increased by another half grain (30mgs) every three weeks, until you find the dose where your body starts to function better and your symptoms start to disappear. It is usually best to take Armour twice daily because the active thyroid hormone (T3) has a very short half life and you start to feel the effect of it leaving your body in 6 to 8 hours. Once you do get your adrenal fatigue sorted, you should continue this way. Never take thyroid hormone replacement anywhere near to taking supplements that contain iron or calcium. These need to be taken four hours away from each other. As both the active thyroid hormone in Armour and hydrocortisone have a short half life, taking these should not be done on a " tertian schedule " . Sheila Until I get sorted with the AF issues I am continuing with my 1gr Armour and the supplements...should I be timing these a certain way? I don't want to up the Armour just to have to come down if I decide between Isocort/Hydrocortisone... Also if I do take either of those again should the supplements be done to a tertian schedule?
