Guest guest
Read The International Hormone Society Consensus #1 http://intlhormonesociety.org/index.php?option=com_content & task=view & id=37 & Itemid=71 & tomHack_idp=1 See also Dr Lowe's recommended guidelines: Dr. Lowe has published papers on the treatment of hypothyroidism and the publishing company, McDowell Publishing has made them available as downloadable PDF's. You can find the E-Chapters at the following link https://www.mcdowellpublishing.com/echapters/contents.htm. If doctors scroll down to Section V, they can decide which E-chapter would be appropriate. And then Myhill (The British Society for Ecological Medicine) has also written guidelines on the diagnosing and management of hypothyroidism, but can't place my hands on these right now. There must be other doctors who have produced guidelines though. Luv - Sheila In Sheila's reply she says:- But the TPA warns that there is misleading (and in parts), incorrect information on their web site. There's no answer to that lol. Does anyone know which foreign guidelines the GPs could go by. I should imagine that they would not know any other guidelines other than those given by the NHS. So it would be helpful if when telling a doctor he can go by any guidelines, to be able to tell him which one, or even to be able to give him/her a copy of it.
