Hi there,

sorry to hear about your problems - I did read somewhere don't ask me where now - that Serenity cream (can reduce your adrenals. I know I gave it to my hubby (men can use it apparently to up their tesosterone levels in a more natural way) and he hasn't been right since - and I would suspect the article was correct and it has reduced his adrenals. He was more energised at first but then went downhill.

Best wishes

Mandy

Hi Leisa,

I wish I had some advice for you - I have EXACTLY the same problem!!! Just as I

start feeling slightly uplifted, I come crashing down, day upon day of migraine

headaches and complete exhaustion, dazed, confused and so on. To make matters

worse, I have PCOS along with my thyroid problems, so periods are sometimes up

to 3 or 4 months late - and I feel this ill the WHOLE time!

No one understands, they think I'm just talking about PMS :(

I really hope you get some help with this.

Georgie :)

One thing I could suggest is trying Maca. Some women say it helps them with

their menstrual cycles, big time. For me, it has helped a little, but not

drastically. But might be worth a try?

Hi Mandy and Georgie

Thanks for your replies. I hadnt read that about serenity cream Mandy, that is

possibly why it stopped working for me.

Georgie, it must be horrific having these symptoms for 3 to 4 months. It must

have a terrible affect on your adrenals! My periods are at least regular. Have

you tried any contraceptive pills or are they not a good idea with PCOS?

I am seeing my doctor next week so was hoping someone could give me a

recommendation of which pill is kindest to the adrenals.

It strange you suggested Maca because i read about it yesterday and took a tiny

bit of one last night (my cupboards are full of herbs and supps!). I should

stick with it and see if it helps.

I hope you find something to help you too! Ill let you know if i do!

Take care

Leisa

Hi Leisa, First question- what are you doing about your adrenals? I assume you've read the info in the forum files? I can't really be much help here as for me it got so bad that I ended up with hysterectomy to stop the blood loss. Theoretically if you get your thyroid and adrenals properly supported then your periods should sort themselves out. Too much oestrogen can block thyroid hormones. > thyroid treatment > From: slorerchie@...> Date: Mon, 2 May 2011 15:46:52 +0000> Subject: Adrenals crashing because of period.> > Hi there> > Im having terrible problems with my periods.
