Hi everyone

I've found my way here after being enlightened by a friend!

I have had an underactive thyroid for around 8 years and take 200mcg of

thyroxine daily. My blood results are said to be normal but I've not regained

any energy and struggle with exhaustion and depression. I'm taking Prozac but

I'd rather not - it seems the only way of avoiding a melt down. I've forgotten

what it is like to have energy. :-(

I also still feel the cold, have very dry skin and acne, very heavy and

debilitating but short periods (I take tranexemic acid to help with that but id

rather not as it plays havoc with my stomach), painful joints, and my weight is

going through the roof. Oh and PMT too!

I've just had my annual FBC done but it didn't include the tests recommended on

here (surprise surprise!)

Looking back through my results, I consistently have a low PCV count and my

haemoglobin is always near the low end of normal. This is the first time the

PCV has shown as abnormal and the GP said it is probably a lack of minerals but

not to worry about it???? :-/

Other than that, it looks to all be normal.

Would someone take a look if I paste the results on here, please?

I am going to read up on all this too but have little time to myself so it will

be a slow process and I'd value any initial thoughts, please.

Sometimes I think I must be going mad!

Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting to know you all

Helen
