Guest guest
You'll have to include the ranges (usually listed in parantheses). Each lab is different. On Thu, Mar 10, 2011 at 10:10 AM, Gillian Broughton <gillianbroughton@...> wrote: Hi can anyone help me with these tests results for thyroid ? serum free T3 5.6 serum T4 2.3 TSH 0.11 I take T3 only 50mgs , and i am going to start self medicating with Hydrocortisone low dose for adrenal fatuige . Guest guest
Results don't mean a thing to us Gillian without the reference range. Each laboratory throughout the country has a different reference range to the hospital down the road because they use different test kits. Ask your Receptionist at your surgery to give you the reference range for each of the tests done. The T4 test looks like it might be a Total T4 and not the Free T4 which is the test that you need. They don't pay attention to the TT4 or TT3 these days, only TSH, fT4 and fT3. You also need to ask to be tested for thyroid antibodies. Did you take your 3 on the morning you had your blood drawn for the test?
