Guest guest
IT'S been a few months since my last post I have been taking T3 for a few months, I have been feeling so much better having more energy is great, and not having brain fog is also good. I got some blood tests and I'm looking for advice on whether I should keep taking my vitamins or cut them down. vitamin B12 1918 (200-900) serum folate 20.0(3.1-20.0) ferritin assay 190.0(10.0-275.0) magnesium 1.06 (0.70-1.00) My GP refused to do copper and D3,she doesn't know I take T3 and the endo I saw was a waste of time,he was rude and arrogant doesn't like getting asked questions,I asked his opinion about T3 and he said " no one can take T3 alone they must take T1 T2 and T4 " .I have requested to see another endo on my next visit, hopefully I will get the one that is on Sheila's list. Thanks Kathy
Guest guest
Dear Kathy Why, why, why are you taking 5000mcgs Vitamin B12. This is FAR too high a dose, and shows in your B12 test, which shows a level of 1000 in a reference range of 200 to 900. Who told you to take such a huge dose? Were you showing a very low B12 level to start on this dose? You need to stop taking the B12. Your Folate is far, far too low, and you need to start taking 800mcgs Folic Acid daily to build up this level, this is probably why you are feeling so dreadful. Ask your GP for a prescription and if this is refused, then you can buy this fairly cheaply from either one of the Internet Pharmacies or from your local health food store. Transferrin is at the bottom of the range. It is not usual to start taking T3 so early in the morning, but it is recommended that this is done when you start to take much higher doses. Try taking your first dose of T3 when you wake normally and take the other half in the middle of the afternoon. As you increase your dose, you can then decide whether to split the dose three times daily and then start taking your first dose an hour earlier than you normally take it. As you increase the dose again, take it another hour earlier, until you end up starting your first dose at 4.30a.m. Be patient though with your T3, it takes a little while for your body to adjust and you shouldn't expect results overnight. Your dose will need to be increased every 2 to 3 weeks until you find the dose that works best for you. Luv - Sheila It's been a while since I have posted a message, since finding this wonderful website my health has improved, however I had a sinus infection just before christmas and my GP put me on a course of Doxycycline and since then my health hasn't been too good, tired again, hair like straw and dry skin obviously the tiredness is my biggest problem so I got some blood test done and would like some advice,I stopped taking T3 for a couple of weeks and started my vitamins again, these are, 2 nax cq10 -200mg vitB12-5000.
